Dua will get you through the roughest times of your life because it shifts your focus from the problem to the problem solver therefore always do make du'a
Islamically Dua is a form of prayer /Worship
Dua is essentially a submission to the Creator and a demonstration of a person's need for Allah swt
It is also considered as a weapon with the help of which we can change our situation by asking help from Almighty Allah.
Our beloved Prophet (SAW) said: "The most excellent worship is Dua." (Sahih Al-Jami)
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:"When my servants ask you concerning me, (tell them) I am indeed close (to them). I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on me." (Quran, 2:186).
Du'a is the conversation between the servant of Allah and Allah swt Himself so we raise our hands to Him in order to ask Him for whatever we need
Prophet (SAW) said: "A slave becomes nearest to his Lord when he is in prostration. So increase supplications in prostrations." (Sahih Muslim)
