After her whole clan was killed little Marri is completely alone and on the verge of dying. She is saved by a passing by ninja running from his own demons. The sight of the helpless girl left on its own evokes within the usually ruthless S-class criminal Uchiha Itachi a strong feeling of protectiveness. He takes her with him and helps her become strong. But as the girl grows up she no longer can close her eyes for the ruthless actions of her mentor and protector. One day she decides to leave him even though it breaks her heart. Marri seeks protection in The Leaf village hoping that Itachi's old home would ease the pain from missing him. Surprisingly, there she finds a home and friends.
But what will happen when they meet again and the young girl has to face the consequences of her actions. And what if Itachi is determent not to let go of his precious girl ever again even if she is his only weakness.

My face never gave away a glimpse of doubt as I smirked. "I heard that the Namikaze clan has the potential to go up against the Senju and the Uchiha", he declares, the wind blowing his hair away from his murk eyes. My hand snaked to the kunai bag strapped to my thigh, declaring battle when I raised my pointer and middle finger, he was unfazed as usual. "Prove this battle worthwhile", he says as the wind died down and there was a split second before his eyes sparked in the dead of night and he hissed, "Mangeyko Sharingan" ------------------------- Whether you love him or hate him Itachi Uchiha is a hero, but what would happen if on the night of the tragedy someone were to stop him from committing the infamous Uchiha massacre? Insert Hanabi Namikaze, one of the few left of her clan.
