An entirely historical fantasy. This is a story that combines historical fiction with non-fiction, humor and fantasy. Parts are factual, parts are fictional. Parts adhere to the accepted interpretation of the 'sources'. Parts add the answers serious historians long for... I heard the term 'alternate history' for the first time only recently. This probably goes into that category.
