There is a curse, a curse on a royal family, this curse has led to many deaths and sickly minds. Leonan is the last of this line of royalty, a King with a sickly body that, like all of predecessors, is characterized by pale skin, white hair, and red eyes with no black pupils. This is what the first ever humans used to look like, and through countless cross breeding, Leonan is the only of the original who remain. When he dies, religion believes humanity will come to an end.

A sickly king over a vast, lush land? Sounds ripe for the picking, and Mateo Dragonaire of Frenen has come to harvest. Does he wish to protect or harm Leonan?

This brewing story of curses and war and potential love is all found within Personal Duties.

Jason Williams didn't think going out to dinner with his family was going to be any different than usual. Comments about his sexuality, some teasing from his brothers, and lots of paparazzi. You know, nothing strange at all. But a fight with his father made Jason storm out of the restaurant, down an alleyway, and suddenly his life isn't the usual anymore. He woke up in an unfamiliar dark room, and a handsome boy opened his door to explain. The snowy-haired genius was holding him captive until he got what he wanted. Life couldn't be worse. Warning: This book contains mental issues such as depression, schizophrenia, and others. If you're sensitive to that kind of thing, then you should probably think twice before reading this. Of course, if you want to read it and you're sensitive, I'm not stopping you. This book only touches upon the subjects; It doesn't go deep into suicide attempts and voices. Remember despite the hate these mental illnesses receive, I believe you. Mental illnesses are no joke, they're not something I try to use for views. I am not hating on the illnesses. I know it's hard, but they are relevant to the book so I had to include them. If you're feeling depressed, please talk to a counsellor. Or, if you're too scared for that, I'll happily listen and give you advice. Thank you! (I needed to include this because I didn't want people thinking I thought the mental illnesses were stupid. I don't, I promise. I love you, and I need you to keep fighting!)

Insanity was bred in the pits of Hell. Emeri Marcello was a deep believer in that. His sole empire clawed away at a being, tearing apart their mind, leaving only a mess of tatters and blood in their wake. There was no escape. Be it the surface world, or the gnarled mangroves of his very mind. There was no solace, no solitude. How was one ever expected to survive against the call of the damned when locked away in such a monstrous prison? Emeri had never fantasised of anything else. A ruler in his own right, a king amongst paupers, with a domain of flame and sin at his fingertips. What else could there possibly be? He had pets to entertain him, to bleed for him, to fall at bended knee to his every command. What else might possibly tempt him away from the sickening reality he had come to know? Boredom, perhaps. The petulance of a neglected child, feeding the impulse of an arrogant adolescent. One simple choice, one eternal decision, that had been Emeri's fate. His path changed. Not in a fit of rage, nor some wrathful tantrum, in that tiny verdict that had whispered to him from the very darkest part of himself. From the abhorrent version of his own normality to something new, something interesting... Someone interesting...
