Scott underestimates just how far the two will go for each other. Carla is devastated when her best friend, Rebecca, goes missing. She's seen the trashed flat and the signs of a violent struggle, but she's the only one who has an idea where her friend might be. A rash decision leaves her in the same position as Rebecca, and worse still, no-one knows where she went. The two teenagers are held captive by Rebecca's dangerous ex-boyfriend who committed an act that left her broken and traumatized. But the two of them have each other and that's enough to keep them fighting forward. Fighting for their freedom. Fighting for justice. Fighting for each other.

Now, Gatlin is left behind and has to learn to live with the trauma he has survived while carrying the secret no one alive knows. And as people keep pressuring Gatlin to get back on the straight and narrow, he begins to feel like his world is spiraling out of control.
