Cover picture is an actual picture of Nugget. (He lives at my house now)
Nugget made it into the Gott family. He was 6 year old Hunter's birthday present. He also had a pack. They were big, muscular dogs who were bigger and stronger than Nugget. They would do all the hunting, and all he had to do was retrieve the dead animal. I mean, he was a labrador retreiver. Easy, right? But what if you're a little bit different. Nugget doesn't want to be apart of the pack. He doesn't want to hunt. He doesn't want to be an outside dog. He wants to snuggle up next to a fire, with a human friend snuggled up next to him, patting his head. That love doesn't lie with his owners, but a friend of the family. A family of city folk. To escape abuse, he has to trust a little girl.
I just wanted to show what parts were true in this story. Nugget was abused, did live with four other dogs exactly like in the story, who didn't get along with him, and he was the boy's birthday present. But Tom actually appeared at the house after I took Nugget to my house. Nugget never actually knew Tom, but Tom exists. Tom also DOES have a crooked tail. And another thing is that the dogs never actually talked. No dip! Ok and the rest is pretty much true, so enjoy!
