Adalia Grova is a powerful witch from the royal Grova line, and she has inherited an extremely rare power, necromancy. Her twin sister, Lilian Grova, now the only representative of the royal line, has been scouring the lands for her sister hoping for a safe return. Lilian has been getting closer than ever to finding her, and Adalia is worried that if her sister could find her, the Hunters can't be far behind.

Moving from forest to village and back again, she stumbles on a small campsite, buried deep in the woods. She soon discovers it is a camp of three young necromancers also hiding from the Hunters.

Niccola is a demi-queen undercover in enemy territory. Her little sister went missing seven moons ago, but one lead remains: a picture of a woman's face, drawn by a diviner shortly after the disappearance. Tracking her down has led Niccola to Calis, the realm next door whose border with her own remains closed for a reason. There, the trail goes cold. Until, that is, Niccola runs into a man in the marketplace who bears a family resemblance to the woman she seeks. His name is Isaiah, crown prince of Calis, and he's investigating disappearances, too. They join forces, faking courtship to sneak Niccola into the palace and get Isaiah's wedding-minded mother off his back. It doesn't take long to suspect that a common threat might underpin both their realms' problems. And as Niccola begins to develop real feelings for Isaiah, she's faced with an impossible choice: reveal her secrets and risk breaking his trust, or leave him in order to chase down the woman who stole her sister... a woman whose forbidden magic comes with a cost that could bring both realms to ruin. ❖❖❖ Complete and fully edited. [ magic, romance and madness. ] Everyone knew that a romance between a guardian and their protégé always ended in tragedy - yet they risked it. One day, I read that in real-life fairy tales, the princess sometimes needs to befriend the dragon and kill the prince, perhaps not to the most extreme extent, considering the prince's utility. (*Wink*). Twenty years had passed since the demise of the last living descendant bearing the bloodline of a potent family within the mystical realm. Individuals who possessed magic more formidable than anyone could have fathomed and that very magic could be pilfered if they were to meet an untimely end-a rumour ignited like wildfire. Word began to spread about the sole surviving member of the Lysion family, the last vestige of a lineage renowned for their blessings from the gods (or, as some argue, their curses), once no more than bedtime tales for children. Two decades earlier, a game of hide and seek unfolded that culminated in the death of the final Lysion at the hands of Oldo Blake, a formidable figure in the annals of history. Or so the story goes. An obscure girl. A concealed secret. A relentless pursuit. With a motley crew of bewildering Other Siders on her trail and an absolute dearth of knowledge on how to harness her precious magic, Rosélina Johnson's life transformed from that of an inconspicuous university student to that of a fugitive in the mystic realm, utterly unprepared for what lay ahead.

Eliesavetta "Leslie" Kovacheva is a vampire witch hybrid--she's been attending the Haynes Academy for years, keeping to herself and stirring up trouble whenever she pleases. When she turns eighteen, she's supposed to go through a ritual to bind a demon to her and force it to do her bidding--the demon in question wants nothing to do with the binding. Kara Satuman, daughter of Lucifer and total nerd, wants to live a simple immortal life: play video games, LARP in the woods, enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons and crush competitors at Magic the Gathering. Unfortunately for Kara, she's next on the list to be bound to a witch. [This book is part of the "Project Unfinished" series.
