Lydia Martin only began to know who she really was when she was twelve years old, after her mother died in a horrific car accident. She still remembers the sight of her lifeless body laid out on the gravel on that stormy afternoon. Sometimes, she wondered why it had been raining profusely the day of the accident, since Anneville, TX was the epitome of a ghost town, where it was always lonesome and excruciatingly hot. Aside from past tragedies, Lydia was convinced she was born with bad luck. Her father now had lung cancer, and his chances of surviving were tied on the end of a string. Now 25 years old, Lydia is stuck between seeking out a spark of hope from a man who's held consistency in what she believes her sorry excuse of a life, or isolating herself completely and fleeing. But this man who endured an accident himself, an accident that gifted him with the inexplicable power over others; is far from allowing Lydia to run away and refuse to live her life. This extensive bond held with words of wisdom, occasional heated arguments, tender touches of reassurance, and smiles that linger were enough for Jesse Custer to discover their fate. >>>if you're familiar with the show or the comics, I decided I'd lean more towards the storyline of the comics since it goes more in depth about Jesse's family and his past.<<< >>>Lydia Martin's character does come from Teen Wolf. And again, if you're familiar with either the show or comics, you'd know Tulip and Jesse are initially together. As much as I love Tulip, and their relationship, I chose to leave her out of this story since I incorporated Lydia Martin in her place.<<<

*** CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTANT REVISION AND EDITING! UPDATING WHENEVER POSSIBLE *** **Previous called "Post Apocalyptic Love (Daryl Dixon Fanfiction** *yes, there is smut. since its a daryl dixon fanfic, it only seemed fitting. i will put a warning in the chapter that have it, so if you are uncomfortable with reading smut, skip that part. this is all my first time writing this kinda stuff so take it easy on me. thanks!* ~~ The book is separated by each season of TWD, so if you have a favorite season you can chose to read Kelley's story from there ~~ A virus broke out across the globe, reanimating the dead and creating mass chaos. In a matter of days, half of the world's population was either dead or turned. The government collapsed, TV and radio stations shut down, and everyone was left to fend for themselves. Kelley lost everything in the beginning. Her family, her house, even her small hometown in the state of Georgia. So she decided to leash up her dog, a Belgian Malinois named Bud, gather some supplies, and head towards Atlanta. She encounters a small group along the way. Survivors just like her, with stories and losses of their own. She soon becomes close to them, feeling like she has found another family, and she will do anything to protect them. This is a story of lost, love, survival, and surprises. The world doesn't care that you are alone, doesn't care if you're hungry, and doesn't care that death lurks around every corner. The undead feed on the living and the living can't be trusted. As the days pass and the world she knew was gone, she keeps a record of everything that has happened since first night. In a world where previous history is long forgotten, Kelley believes it is necessary to write down her journey and keep track of all things apocalyptic, so that maybe one day it will help others learn how to survive... and not make the same mistakes she has. So, let's start at the beginning.
