The Twiceborn: Chiaroscuro
Born once through demon's blood, and born twice through the blood of the unrepentent, This is the story of Alora, The Twiceborn, the last of the Tribe of the Dark Moon. Her only companion is her stallion Loki, as she travels the countryside answering the call of desperate peasants who want to manipulate fate.
This is also the story of Islinn, a young slave Alora finds herself saddled with after an ill-fated display of anger at a slave vendue. At first, the girl appears to be just another peasant rounded up into slavery but Alora is soon to discover that there is more to Islinn than she ever could have imagined.
Together, the two of them find themselves on the road in a harsh world where slavery is commonplace and Alora soon learns it takes far more than a simple light to defy and define the surrounding darkness.
