Jasmine's life has not been perfect, That's for sure. Her mother, or what she calls her egg donor, left her and her sister, Bethany, with their father, Paul. Jasmine has always been the type of person to look on the brighter side of things. She walks around with a smile on her face even when she wants to cry. One day Jasmine and her sister go to visit their grandmother in Savannah, Georgia. While she is there she encounters a stranger and something happens that she least expects. She's bitten and is turned into a blood sucking vampire. She doesn't understand anything that's going on with her body and her feelings. She's scared she's going to hurt her friends and family. When she tries to go on living life normally she meets who she thinks is a normal teenage guy, named Mat. Mat makes her feel better about what she is even though she hasn't told him a thing. She starts to feel guilty about keeping it a secret but thinks he's keeping some secrets of his own. Will Jasmine still be able to look at the brighter side of things when she is turned into a vampire or will she finally break down? Will she find the strength to keep her family and friends from harm or will she lose control? Will she finally tell Mat the truth and will Mat tell her what he's been hiding from her?
