[COMPLETED] This is an epic, character driven tale about love, gaining freedom, finding yourself, and overcoming hardship.

Stolen away as a child, Erinne has spent her life as a slave to the orcs, a race that has been at war with humans for as long as she can remember. However, times are changing and the new Great Chieftain has forbidden the keeping of slaves in a bid to bring peace with the humans. Being freed is only the beginning. She struggles to find her place in the world as humans no longer accept her for being too "orcish" and orcs find her too human. She is stuck in between, in the heart of a war attempting to broker peace for the orcs that saved her life while she fights to survive and understand the war inside her own heart and find where she belongs.

Author Note: This story is now under revision, but it took me years to write the first one, I expect it might take just as long to revise so I encourage you to please read this version, and if you like, step over and review the in progress revisions which I will be posting periodically.

Beauty Unseen: The sisters of Folly trilogy (Book One) by Julie_Ville
7 parts Ongoing
Miss Wendy Garren has resigned herself to one last tormented season in the Capital's condemning rich and titled high-society, under the critical and abusive eye of her parents, The Earl and Countess of Follies. At seven and twenty she knows she is there to escort and keep a watchful eye on her younger and vibrant twin sisters. But Wendy knows that when the end of the season comes and she remains unmarried, her parents will finally send her away. She never thought the season could end like this... The Duke of Thornberg Rhys Granger, is tired of scheming mothers and their giggling daughters floating around the edge of an ornately lit ballroom as they dance in a game of power. Nearing the age of Forty, after raising his younger sister, and having served many years of military service to the crown, he feels too old to be shopping for a wife that's barely left the classroom. To appease his happily married and sometimes nagging, younger sister, Rhys attends one last ball in the crown's Capital before planning to return home to his remote and vast Thornberg Estate. He would've never guessed how that night would end... Reader Reviews "This looks like the start of a great book. So underrated though." -Rosettle "I love this book! It's so good and heartbreaking! *COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.
