As we walked through the woods she smiled. Oh how I adore that smile. We reached my favorite place, my home away from home. We sat down on the grass gazing at the stars. I peaked over my shoulder to see her expression, and what I saw was happiness and curiosity in her eyes.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" I asked her.
"It's amazing!" She says taking in the view like if she looks away for a second it's all going to disappear.
"I'm glad you like my secret place away from reality" She turns to me so slowly.... yet so beautifully.
"Why did you bring me here?" I looked away from her mesmerizing grey eyes and looked at the sky. (Because I love you.) I thought but of course didn't say.
"Because you are the only one that really gets me I guess..." I turn back to her. "You understand the quietness in my voice and the darkness in my soul..."
