Devin is a new worker in the huge afterlife building. After being rescued by Lucifer and recovering from an unpleasant state, he begins to work under her.
He meets the many employees around him and develops friendships. Something he's never had before. Everyone seems to have no intention for harm. With a war just ending everyone is pushing away drama and stress to "take some time off".
As he learns the past of the people around him he discovers some interesting secrets.
He gets wrapped into something he shouldn't have. He learns that someone is lying. He learns someone knows him better then he though. And he learns that someone wants him dead.

This is a knock off/fan fiction book from a three part series called Afterlife. There is a three year gap between the first and second book and that is when this story takes place. This is like book 1.5.
PLEASE! Read Afterlife before you read this book. There are many characters who I will expect you to know before you read this story and it's a dayum good series.

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace.
