According to the stories that I have read and heard around the castle, love seemed to be something magical and incredible, especially if it was true love. So, how could someone determine it to be a weakness? It wasn't until I landed in Neverland that I had to find out the truth the hard way, in the most excruciating and heart-wrenching way possible. Yet, It was my fault after all, I decided to make a game out of it and someone else decided to use that to their advantage. If I was given the chance to change something from my past it would have been to prevent myself from all of the heartache that was to come. Maybe then I could have saved myself the trouble of having to rip out my own heart. But you know what they say, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." I am the daughter of the Evil Queen, the granddaughter of the former Queen of Hearts, there is no such thing as a happy ending for people like me. If one mate was to die, then the other would feel like they had lost half their soul, but gaining a mate unlocks a Drakonis' full potential so not choosing a mate is like a bird never learning to fly. Purposeless. With their people hunted and lands razed, the mighty Drakonis faded into legend and their truths became gossip and the gossip became bedtime stories for children who wonder about adventure and travel. But there was one who hid her true identity, one who played human but always remembered her pride and home from whence she came. She took it upon herself to rebuild an empire for her people; one where they would not be threatened with extinction and isolation.
