I may just be a girl. No one special. Nothing compared to others. In the eyes of the universe, I am just a little speck of dust. My light may not shine very bright, and it may not be of any use, but I am me. Writing is my only escape out of this world. I cry rivers of ink and climb mountains of words. I may not write as well as others, but my writing is just a different style. They're my feelings. I really do hope you can connect to some of the work in here. Please, do not copy any of this work without informing me first. Thank you! "My Escape" I have a supply, In the closet near my bed, Of past memories, Hanging by a thread. A thread, Connected to my mind, That thread, Just follows me around. I have a hole, In the middle of my heart, That hole fills up, When someone's torn apart. I have a tear, Accompanying my lonely eye, Knowing, whenever I'm alone, I can sit in a corner and cry. Even though, These things are there, I still have ink, a notebook, and a pen, To care. I write and write, To my heart's desire, New feelings erupt, By the hour. Writing is, My one escape, In this cruel and careless world, I have the power, to awake. "A Story Without Words" A story told, In a little tune, A golden smile, And a shining tear, Rolling down my cheek. A little breeze, The nice sun, A marvelous day, Turned into a wet one. The memories dripped, Down on my cotton white shirt, Leaving stains, On my malicious heart. Your smile, Worth a thousand words, Can't cheer up This depressive mind. A storm bewildered, Your indecisive mind, Drowning me, In my reckless thoughts. A rainy day, A gleaming lie, A story not told, With words Nor sounds. This story is, But a mere thought, In this universe We share, Every night. This story is, A withering storm, Drifting off, In this careless soul. This story is, Not told with sounds, But a never ending blow, Of swirling emotions, Bottled up inside.

On steamy, hot summer days, the parched soil cracks like ice into jagged lines resembling lightning blowing up the midnight sky. Summer craves to be quenched and begs to feel the invigorating shower that only rain can douse. It takes what it can get from rain without considering the possibility of destruction. Rain is a necessary evil. It's prayed for yet cursed and hated. It brings forth destruction and life simultaneously. Rain is a refreshing sprinkle and an overwhelming flood. It's elusive, and it alone decides when and where to release its precipitation with no regard to the impact of its power. *** Summer breezed into McGrath's Pub like a breath of fresh air. Despite her miserable day and the tepid rain dampening the streets of Harrisburg, she lit up the bar with her bright smile the moment she entered. Rain is looking for a warm body to take to his bed. He spots Summer and immediately approaches her. She has no clue about his plans for her, and he's determined to bring those plans to fruition. Summer's heart and soul were destroyed by the torrential storm that is Rain Grant. Summer is determined not to let what happened to her happen to the "Next Girl." *** "Next Girl" I bet you probably met him at a bar Let him walk you to your car I bet he said he never fell this hard Yeah, I remember that part He knows how to say all the right things Knows how to get you outta that dress Knows how to make you think you're thе best thing But I know what happens next, girl Co-written and performed by Carly Pearce *** Cover by: @zmswift 1st Place 🥇 The Carnival Awards 2021 Chick-Lit Featured in WattpadShortStory's Realistic Fiction Reading List Qualified for Round 3 of the 2023 Amby Awards

I followed the sound then saw a small river, I went down looking for a deep spot so I can swim then I saw a wide area of the river that seemed to be waist deep. I quickly stripped off my clothes then went to refresh in the water. "Ohh." I moaned in satisfaction. The water did well. I then heard a shuffle from my side only to see Lachlan on the river bank. "What?" I said as he glares at me. "Why do you swim naked in the open?" He said, his voice low with warning. "Can't you see? We are alone." I murmured and just went back to playing in the river. He just sighed and sat on a rock. Well whatever for him, let him watch me if he likes. A sneaky idea then came to me. "Don't you wanna take a dip my lord?" I asked seductively while floating to reveal my breasts on the open. I saw him focus his gaze on me but still kept quiet. "The water is quite, hot." I rolled out the last word sexily. I laughed as he narrowed his eyes on me. #MatureContent #AmatureWriter #JustForFun
