Peyton Di Maggio had it all, she was a neonatal surgeon. She was married to a Fire Lieutenant at Fire House 41 in Clover, Georgia. Together, her and Lukka had 4 children and 1 on the way. They lived in a gated community and the kids go to a private school nearby. They are the perfect couple, family oriented and very into the community and their children's lives. 

Everything changed for Peyton in a blink of an eye. Lukka was called to a fire and was killed inside. Peyton now is alone and pregnant with her 4 children. 

When CFD took a better look at the fire that killed Lukka, it looks like foul play was involved. Who killed the lieutenant? Why was he killed? Did Peyton have something to do with it? 

When the wife begins to ask questions, however, her life and her childrens' lives become in danger.

Both, the husband and wife were detectives, determined to solve the case of a killer amongst their own society. However each close lead turn into a dead end. This unfortunately makes them register the case as unsolved. Rachel was always a mysterious figure in Aiden's life, even though he fell in love with her during their college days together. She always seemed to have this manipulative control over him, but you couldn't call it toxic. Aiden was always in his senses when he did something for her. They both really were pillar opposites, he believed in law and justice, while she believed that if a job was done for the right causes it could be excused. Keeping all of this aside, this is Rachel's incomplete, yet Aiden's complete story. He finds closure, in the process of telling the mystery of the unsolved case. He finds the strength to heal his broken self in the process, after all, without Rachel he felt blind, deaf and dumb. As if his world disappeared in a snap of fingers. He used to be so kind to her but ever since she had a miscarriage he had been coming home beating her for the smallest reasons. She tries to get away or fight back but she can't. She has 1 child with Jackson and he's only kind to their daughter. She goes out to pick up Amelia (hers and Jackson's daughter) one day and meets a man. A perfect man. His name was Cloud. One she wants to be with but can't because her husband would kill him. She fells in love with that man right away. He starts to notice her bruises and scars, questioning her life at home and how she got hurt. He starts to question her and she instantly distances herself from him. What happens when Jackson finds out she's in love with another man? What would he do? What would Cloud do when he finds out the women he fell in love with is getting beaten?
