This book is based of the series Gone (Michael Grant) and is about a girl who finds herself with the power of speed after being tested on by a group of scientists who work for the government.  I wont go into the detail on how she got her powers as I'm thinking of doing a prequel! When Charlie was 7 years old she was kidnapped from her home and her parents and brother murdered in cold blood for trying to protect her. Now at 15 she decides to take matters in to her own hands by escaping the facility and finding who did this to her family. However the scientists had injected something in to her, something that makes her a ruthless killer out for whatever blood she can get.
If you don't like blood or gore then I am warning you not to read this as that is exactly what this is about.
