The kingdom of Cianna is facing a life long curse that's been in place since it was first found. It has been said to the the great witch cult had the best leader of it's time 600 years ago, they tormented and destroyed many towns. Then, one day the first king, King Alfor, had defeated the great witch with a power and weapon that is unknown to mankind. Till this very day no one knows what it, or that's what everyone was told; but I'm getting ahead of myself. When King Alfor was about to put an ended to the great witch and her cult they had place a curse on our kingdom and left a great prophecy telling how the kingdom will fall apart and the witches get their revenge or how it could be saved. Of course they left the saving parts vague so it could not be done. The great prophecy wasn't one for a a huge puzzle that rhyme, it more over cut to the chase of the great fall. It states " as we must fall for now your time will come, you have taken what's rightfully ours soon your lives will belong to us, for the princess will fail her duties and cause the death of all, we will return and there's small chances to stop the end, for one must turn against their family, learn to love, to burn for all,and one leaves broken more the ever". Not so helpful if you ask me, especially since the kingdom is in my hands. I'm Ruby and I hide away from most and keep my head down low and my hood up. Why? I can't been seen for I'm a witch and every witch get a trait that makes them intriguing to others, and I got most utter beauty. Now I'm on the hunt to find the great item used to stop the most powerful witch rising up and causing chaos, but I'm not completely alone. I have to drag along the fancy princess Skye, Owen the worst thief, and Leo a water fairy who has an odd obsession of setting things on fire. This is going to be one interesting quest to save the kingdom.

The book is mainly in Ruby's point of view, but it may vary sometimes

Will Rowen fold into the forces of dark magic or honor her true self? *** On the surface, Rowen Keckilpenny-Brown seems like a normal teenage girl with normal teen problems-no boyfriend, overprotective parents, and no friends other than a three-legged cat. When Rowen accidentally blows up the school gym, she discovers a dark secret her fathers have kept from her-she's the heir to an evil queen's throne. A generation of witches emerged in a world where two factions, the Druids and the Witches, held power over the Earth and its elements. Gifted with the ability to harness the powers of Light and Dark, they dedicated themselves to honoring the Goddess Mother and the natural world. They celebrated life, abundance, and the cycles of nature through festivals and rituals. The Goddess Mother blessed two witches with extraordinary power, one with Light and the other with Dark, and bestowed upon them a book containing all the spells necessary to honor her. With this book, they could even cheat death itself. However, they were forbidden from using their powers for evil. Meanwhile, the Druids delved into the dark side of nature, making pacts with gods of the afterlife who demanded blood sacrifices. The Elder Druid, consumed by envy, plotted to steal the witches' power. Spreading lies about their wickedness to mortals, the Druids convinced them that only witch burnings could lift the curse. The Elder Druid's greed knew no bounds, and he sought the Goddess's book, whispering more falsehoods about the witches. Fear gripped the land, and countless innocent men and women were burned at the stake until the witch hunts finally ceased in the late 17th century. The two High Strega, the last of their kind, devised a plan to protect their magic and revive the Witchline. The Goddess revealed a prophecy: when a daughter of Dark and a son of Light possessed the book, the Witchline would be restored. They separated, hiding their true power and passing the book from one High Strega to another across generations. Until now...

The Dragon gave the Royals sixteen years to better themselves and teach their heir to the thone to be an honest, caring individual. If the Princess was coronated with a selfish heart everyone in the castle who had done wrong to the people would die. The top three Witches of the court decided on a plan to save the Princess and everyone else included in the curse, taking the spindle it is bound to and altering the curse so that, if it struck, they would all fall into an eternal slumber. Fifteen years later, Briar Rose is shocked to learn that the biggest threat to her daily life isn't Dragons swooping down from the sky to eat her or dying from boredom out in the middle of the woods. It's a curse that can lead to her whole countries decimation. Having been born with the Gift for Magic, she was trained to be a Curse Breaker by proclamation of High King Henric himself and now knows that her Godmothers have been preparing her to fight the Curse the Dragon bestowed at that ill-fasted Ball all those years ago. With one year to get the most practical experience possible in Curse Breaking, Briar Rose heads out with the map her Godmothers gave her, tracking down places of extreme curses while they head back to Skyfort, the castle where the cursed spindle resides, to protect it from those who would inadvertently worsen the curse they struggled to amend. Will she succeed at breaking the Curse and make her life her own or is the magic of Dragons to much for a Mortal to hope to overcome?
