Sometimes it isn't about slaying your demons, It's about moving past them. "Cards", a seventeen-year-old orphan with a quick mind grew up on the streets from the age of ten to fourteen following a dark past of abuse. On the verge of succumbing to death or a life without freedom, he was luckily spared his dark fate by Milo, the (sometimes drunk out of his mind) eccentric and brilliant ringmaster of The Archfae Rebellion Carnival. But it isn't all carefree at the carnival, not for the performers, not for the "Faeries", not for the ringmaster and certainly not for one of the Archfae Rebels most recent recruits. Because just like Cards' best friend, Sprint says, "Pretending your past doesn't exist, Cards, doesn't make you forget." A life built on lies and tricks. A fragile wall of deception separating the Archfae Rebellion Carnival from prosecution, danger and death. How can the Archfae Rebels move past a demon That has eyes in every dark corner in Arvgonia?

[COMPLETE] For centuries, the sorcerer Milo tried to run away from his old coven and the creatures that were waiting for him there. The memories of pain kept him focused on his disguises, and when he finally thought he was safe, the possibility of war summoned him back to defend the clan he so avidly avoided. The perspective of a battle wasn't as scary as his creator - Damien. The vampire condemned him to that eternity of fear, with no memory of his human life, and Milo never understood his motives. Why was Damien so possessive over him if he despised him that much? But there was no option - other than to stop running and perhaps understand what started all that fighting. ------------- "His creator caused him much more fear, anger, and confusion than any other person in the clan. He was the one that brought him into that life. The intensity of those red eyes on his skin when finally Damien looked at him made him gulp. He terrified him and attracted him in equal proportions. Everything in his brain told him to run, and everything in his body looked to be closer to him."
