Ivy is the new kid at school. 9th grade to be exact. She knows she is considered "ugly." Then she meets Jay and her whole world changes. Jay couldn't possibly like her back! She was hideous... an embarrassment... she didn't belong. Jay does kind things for her, like carrying her books to class, bringing her a special lunch treat... but he was fooling her... he wanted her to be humiliated... somehow. Or was that all in her head? Was Jay truly being a kind person? Who would be kind to a girl like her?


(I bingewatched Twilight Zone and came upon the Eye of the Beholder episode. I kept thinking back upon it. What they say is true. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder... I hope one day we as humans decide that looks don't matter, personalities do.)Tutti i diritti riservati

He looked sad, exactly what i felt. Standing there, watching him leave i knew he would always have a special place in my heart, whether it was 5 or 50 years from now. His black hair covered his forehead, and his eyes twinkled. I knew it then. I was in love. I was in love with Victor. For the first ten years of my life I always imagined myself a princess. I always saw myself being an amazing, and beautiful person. Everyone saw me as a loving girl who just wanted happiness for everyone and only wanted to see people smile. Until the eleventh grade, when my crush Rayan Lopez called me ugly. I adored that boy with everything, since 7th grade, and that was the day.... I realized I wasn't a princess after all. It's amazing how quickly someone can defeat your dream with the utterance of one word. Whoever said words don't hurt, must have never experienced this.
