Kingship, the ultimate power in the ancient world. To the Egyptians, it was a power passed through the female line. Only the husband of the Solar Princess could be king.

A recently discovered tomb in 1883 opens a glimpse into the depths of political ambisions and power plays from centuries before. When the gods dabble, the horrors of the past have a way of coming back to haunt the world once again.

**********

This is a short story. I hope you like it. I would love to hear feedback on this.

I set this as mature just to be sure. I don't give overly explicit details of violence or sex, however, the story does delve into topics of a more mature nature.

It is also a work of fiction that I wrote. Please do not copy any part of this story. I do not own the rights to the photos posted. Those are just images I found online and the rights go to the original owners. Thank you.

As for the names of the characters, I pulled all of the names during the historical periods from actual history. So, I am sorry if the names are odd or difficult to follow, it is set during a specific reign and the historical people around the royal palace. I really enjoy writing from actual history as much as possible when I do delve into history. If people like this, I may try to work on a longer story of a historical romance in the Ottoman courts.

He was prepared to say his last prayer. But the blow never came. Instead his saw the Nubian fall to the ground. The desert sands absorbing the man's precious supply of blood that flowed from his headless body. The young Pharaoh felt himself being lifted up by a familiar hand. It was Kahmunrah. --------------------------------- Ahkmenrah and his older brother Kahmunrah are Egyptian Princes of the Fourth Dynasty and the best of brothers. They are as different as the sun and moon or as gold differs from silver. But they brothers in blood and spirit. Two parts of one whole. They have been told more than once that Egypt had been blessed to have them as Sons. But one tragic event tears their lives to pieces and threatens to drive them apart for all eternity. (Highest Ranking: #108 in Historical Fiction) Was a featured story on the Ides of March. Disclaimer: I don't own the characters from Night at the Museum. Also admittedly some of the stuff that is written is a little problematic. I retain full responsibility of the problematic writing and I apologize if it causes hurt or seems insensitive, it was not my intention at the time of writing merely a reflection of the bad influences from the books I had been reading as a young teen. I am trying very hard to make this book more politically correct in my other drafts as do I do not want other people to normalize toxic, homophobic and sexist tropes/ideologies and beliefs through their reading. Many forget that the goddess of love was born from the raging sea, but she would do anything to protect her daughter. Adora was Aphrodite's last daughter. Her mother kept her hidden. But, her mother isn't the only one who can keep a secret, especially in a world where your role in society is everything. For there was a prophecy long before she was born: 'Aphrodite's last child would be the one to take the throne, Her paternity unknown. They would carve her face and never forget, for she would be the most beautiful that they had met Cursed for the same fate as her mother Forced to leave her love for another The only way she shall break this curse is if she defeats the first' "Looks like the princess doesn't need saving after all." He says, quietly enough that no one else would hear, as he draws his hand away from my arm. I glare back at him. "Maybe she never did," I walk away, not sparing a single glance back, no matter how much my body was begging me to. I fuss over my hair, pouting as I run my fingers through it to put it back into place. *A warning note* I am not an expert on Greek Mythology, but it interests me greatly. Please excuse any inaccuracies in the book, but if there are any please do message or comment it and I will see if I can change it without making such a huge difference to the plot. Also, my main character is autistic and the experience will be different for everyone. I have tried my hardest to put down on paper how I feel and how I believe others see me. So, please be respectful about the decisions my characters make as I have chosen to give them many different types of neurodivergent brains. I have tried my best to represent these in the most accurate light whilst not romanticising them.

He doesn't even know she exists, anything about her remarkable powers or the enormous responsibilities that he will be asked to assume upon her death. Up until that moment, Ryan's greatest concern had been staying alive in Sullivan State Prison where he is serving a two year sentence for felony assault of a police officer. For the dedicated Servants of Ma'at, breaking their new Pharaoh out of jail is the very least of their problems. Will he accept his destiny? Can he stop the virus in time? Get out your popcorn, tourists beware, here comes a paranormal adventure with a historical twist, set in Egypt--and Britain. From Chapter 29 'Darkness': 'Did I just try to dive into that goo to get at a dead guy?' Trueth asked. Define dead,' Metjen said with a half-smile. He muttered something and touched Trueth on the forehead. The rest of her giddiness faded away--only to return as Metjen crushed her in one of his bearhugs. 'For a moment I thought we would lose you. Don't do that again.' Trueth's cheeks burned. That could only be the caffeine. The stuff had never agreed with her. 'It wasn't my idea, there was a voice in my head!' *** Trueth hates being the last paranormal creature left on Earth. She needn't worry: On a trip to Egypt she runs into Metjen Al-Nour, magical member in the last temple of the sun god Ra. With sparks flying between them--not only those of the magical variety--they solve a 5000-year-old riddle where clues are literally buried in tombs, historical sites--as well as in the family safe. But their journey is far from over - where other stories end, this one really takes off... . The second novel in the trilogy, 'Cursed Times - Only Yesterday!', is completed, and 'In My Attic' - a spin-off to the world of Cursed Times is available with weekly updates. === Copyright information, given the recent acts of content piracy: All copyrights of the texts are mine exclusively. When he sees Annabelle Walker, she fit his requirements perfectly. She needs money and he had money. All he needs her is for a year and they would walk away unaffected. But the last thing he expected was new emotions to follow his decision to get married... _____________________________________________________________ Okay, I've been getting a lot of offensive comments on his religion and race and bla bla bla. I just want to let you know that where I come from, I do know the basic customs and I think some of you are being too offensive for a fictional story. This story has absolutely no relations to religion. At all. All I did was select a certain nationality for my main lead. Plus, its a fictional country! I have done my research and I do not appreciate people saying my characters are going to hell and stuff. So, I've changed the name a bit and removed the "bin". Once again, I'll say this, this story has some sexual content so if you are sensitive to it either due to morality or religious reasons, please do not read any further. Thank you. PS: The rest of you, do enjoy!
