The sleepy little town of Winhallow was always the same. Most people found it by mistake. It was rare for children who grew up there to leave. But it wasn't uncommon for some families to welcome a outsider. Although there was a time when three teens left in the middle of a hot summer night.

Soon four years after the teens left another tragedy struck the town, a mysterious fire was started on one of the founders property. Philip Stormer was passing by the burnt down property and found a strange symbol drawn under the soot and ashes. Quickly backing away he called for help. Several townsmen brushed away the ashes and soot to uncover a large eight pointed star. The men looked at each other and nervously stepped away from the star. "This is not our business. We will inform the Greenwells tomorrow." Theodore Wilkins said to the group all of who agreed.
