He wishes they could be a team, but she seems to prefer going solo. Alex is overworked - he barely has time for anything. Recently a single dad, he's constantly at the office, working longer hours to support his seven kids. He's got Philip to help him out around the house and with the other kids, at least, but that doesn't make solitarily running a household that much easier. I also know this is probably crappy, and ive changed some details, such as Lafayette being three years older than Laurens instead of three years younger, and ive made relations between characters that aren't real.
