The storm gate, the thick spools of dense, dark wall of cumulus clouds that stood menacingly over the seeming never-ending depths of the lakoda lake. None of us know truly what lies beyond the storm gate, knowledge of that kind is prohibited for reasons unknown. If the person in the bed next door let out even a mere whispered word of the land beyond the gate, you'd wake the next morning to see the sheets folded neatly, the personal trunk empty and the person gone. Castella Winters thought her world was normal until the lightning came - one bold strike of brilliant white light and Castella is thrown into a whirlpool of conspiracy and the shocking truth of her own reality. Coming into contact with the sort of people considered too bold for her nature. Especially the bold nature of the dark haired Cole Knight. Castella has to fight to make it out of this alive.

"Louis," I said in a serious tone, "It may actually drive me insane if you don't tell me." "Then ask." He said, his breath fanned my ear. "Louis," I began "Yes?" a shiver ran down my spine as his lush voice filled my ear. "If you're not human, then what are you?" I finished "Guess." He whispered, a breath escaped my chest as he nibbled the edge of my ear. "Louis," I grabbed his shoulders and pulled away from him, "This is serious, I truly want to know." He pouted, "Come on miss 170, your smart enough to figure it out." * Sequel to TBPEW * ¥¥¥¥ Years after all the drama between the Knight family, things are starting to look good for them. With the help from Cole's friend, Lukas, the two were able to prove that they could take over the family company. Meanwhile after the death of Orabella's father, Henry, she was watched over by one of Xavier's men and his wife. The two do nothing but make her feel suffocated, as if she can't live her life even at the age 22. As Orabella got older, all she could think about was her late father... and the man that murdered him. She then made it her goal to ruin the lives of both Xavier and his family. What happens when she applies for a job her friend suggested that is soon managed by Cole Knight himself? The man she once had a crush on as a child now stands in front of her with cold eyes. Will she continue on with the mission? Or will she leave it all in the past and move forward? ¥¥¥¥ Orabella's POV I knew just from looking at him, that the other next to him was Cole. He was tall. He had to be at least 6'3. He wore a black shirt that showed all of his muscles, standing with pride. His shoulders were broad. While the other guy's hair was styled neatly, his was more messy. In a good way of course. He had a few strands of his dark curly locks in his face. I would say that having a sharpe jawline runs in their family, him having stubbles on his face. His expression was blank and had a unusual coldness to it. I could practically feel the power radiating off of him. He seeked control. His nose was sharpe, lips plumped. I noticed the small scar going through his left eyebrow. When I looked back at his eyes I saw that he was already looking at me. I felt as my heart began to race slightly, me now feeling uncomfortable under his cold eyes. • • • • #6 plottwist - 09/22/23 #28 darkness - 09/24/23 #8 ex - 10/05/23 #1 jealous - 12/11/23
