The inspiration for this story came from my parents and the well-known novel "The Illustrated Man". My parents are...for a lack of a better term, an odd couple. An athletic, smart scientist and a food-loving, always-planning-everything-out project manager. I took a step back and looked at them for their personalities, and realized that no matter how different they are, they are still capable of time-withstanding love.

"The Illutsrated Man" contributed a lot of the way I have written this story. In the beginning, Ray Bradbury says, "This book is a collection of What Ifs?" And I have taken that What If? style of writing, and composed 6 romance stories, each pair of people being very diverse in their personalities and actions. I hope you enjoy.
