The war against Thanos has ended, and Thor believes he has lost everything. His parents and his adopted brother, Loki, are dead. The world, though now safe, suffers grand losses. Thor recalls the promise Loki made at the start of the war, "I assure you, the sun will shine on us again." Amid the rubble and destruction surrounding him, Thor spots a figure in the distance.
