Two girls were born as December 21, 2012 came along. They were born into two families that had a long legacy, a legacy that had resulted in pain, seperation, and most of all, a bitter rivalry between the two. The turn of the day brought a lifting of pollution, despair, and worries. It was a day of light and hope, and so the two girls were named Hope and Light. But a cloud appeared, a cloud that fed on all human ills, made up of the things that destroy civilization. A spirit lived inside, called Heiwang. It was despair, and it was darkness. It was as old as the family rivalry of Hope and Light. It was here to destroy the world. December 21, 2012 marked the beginning of the end.

Death's Edict

8 parts Ongoing

In 1923 a deadly earthquake devastated the island of Kantō, resulting in the deaths of over one hundred thousand souls. The catastrophic event which descended Japan into chaos became known as Kantō dai-jishin (関東大地震), or: "The Great Kantō earthquake" On that day the death gods ascended to the skies, as they peered behind the veil of man, enamoured by a magnificent feast. For when such immense death permeates through time and space, in a single blink, even the gods themselves cannot turn a blind eye. ***** Ren awakens on the rooftop of a strange building to find that the island of Kantō has been levelled by an earthquake. Across a sea of ruin and devastation, the fate of his wife and children is unknown. Trapped with him is Yuna, a lost child who wishes to find her way home. As Ren vows to search for her family and to be reunited with his own, a message written in blood and fire decrees that the price of their freedom is to survive the trials of the gods in all fifteen floors below, and in doing so gain dominion over life, death and choice.
