"Why? Why not me?" Ashton mummers under his breath as he's pins my arms to the wall. I shout crying for help, struggling to break free of him. He doesn't budge. I can feel his face inches away from mine. His soft breath on my lips. Droplets of water dripping off his wet hair, running down my cheek, I could sense his rapid heartbeat, he smelled like fresh rain and earthy musk. The sound of the heavy rain and insects chirping outside filled the silence. I lean close, close enough where my lips are barely touching his earlobe. I wanted her to scream, "Because you make my heart bleed, when you look at me like that!" She'd say something like, "Why would you want your heart to bleed? If I'm causing you pain, what good am I too you?" Maybe I'd answer, "No one thing can be beautiful, without a little pain. You're not just pain, you're the one beautiful thing.. MY beautiful thing." Then we'd kiss, and the rain would start. But she didn't. She never will. It's the things we don't say.
