How the mighty fall
LokixVampire!Valkyrie! OC I tried to forget. Honestly, I did. Oh, don't worry, you forgot. But, how does one forget your soulmate? ... Aubri Sigyndottír is a Valkyrie of Asgard. Sworn to protect Loki from all sorts of harm. But what happens when you have to protect your charge from yourself? Aubri had just returned from her year-long trials. A year without much blood. A year without having much self-control. An entire thirty days in the spirit realm. She was weak, but she had to get to Loki. Tragedy struck during her induction ceremony, causing Odin to banish her. She was forced to Midgard and the brothers' memories were removed. She landed in the middle of a battle against a certain star-spangled man with a plan and a hydra base... (Aubri is a Half-Asgardian Valkyrie (Human) Half-Vampire)
Magnus Chase - Rise Of Darkness
[ SEQUEL TO FALL OF THE ELDEST] It's strange how it takes one message that sends things spiraling. Fate is a spiral to Ragnorok. The next major event is the new einherji, and the disappearance of a retired Valkyrie. When Magnus starts getting visions with Hel herself, and his closest friends begin to vanish, the son of Frey is called to another mission. But again, he won't be alone. Friends new and old join him on the seas again as death brings her own mischief to the table in hopes to bring Loki back and start the end of the universe. Stakes are high, lives at risk, precarious prophecies in demand, and why does Percy Jackson's oracle demand Freyson and his death? {Again, none of these characters are mine, except for OCs. They belong to Rick Riordan. Also, if you haven't read my other story, Fall Of The Eldest, make sure you do, you'll get more references. It will mostly be in Magnus' view, but will transition between Alex and others possibly. Updates won't be too random, but there shouldn't be too long of a wait. A week or two at most. } One more thing - This story is rated PG-13 in my opinion, containing massive gore and touchy subjects that might not be for the faint of heart. I don't want to mark it as mature cause I fear it would effect the views, so I'm giving the warning now. Also, PLEASE COMMENT!!!Complete
How To Train Your Dragon The Other Son
Long ago, there was a village of vikings on a small island known as Berk, which suffered weekly, sometimes even nightly raids from fire breathing dragons. However the chief's wife, Valka, believed peace was possible between the Vikings and Dragons but no one believed her. During a terrible raid, she was taken by a dragon that showed signs of kindness. However she wasn't the only one taken since she grabbed her infant, Hiccup Haddock the Third, to keep him away from a fire started by the dragon who was startled by her husband. Unfortunately she couldn't grab her other son, a toddler, in time and he was left behind with his father. Over the years, the boy grew up hating dragons and counted down the days until he could join the warriors in battle, defending his village and avenging his brother and mother. However his father always kept him inside the forge during raids in fear of losing the only family he had left. There, the boy became a bit of an inventor as well as a decent blacksmith. However all of that changed when one night, using one of his inventions, he shot down the most dangerous and mysterious dragon in the entire Archipelago. The Night Fury...
Word of Trolls book 1 - Trollbound ch. 1-3
The Word of Trolls is a fantasy series, broken into three parts, that draws its inspiration from the Norse folklores, with trolls, draugs, the hulder and the northern lights all playing their vital part. It is a story that explores human's close relation with nature, setting them up as two opposing forces. Which side will win in the end? At the centre of the world stands the enormous mountain Várri, the only true mountain in the land, and said to be the Trolls' final resting place. For centuries, a hulder, a woman with a tail, has preserved the balance in nature, but one day a boy of 17 finds a hidden tunnel that leads to this woman. The woman claims he has the gift to give life to baby trolls. He is appalled by the idea, yet soon becomes a father to a baby troll. On top of Várri, in Snowfall, the Kvínnús chooses their men, and the tribe is led by a Trollkvínnú (spiritual leader). Trollkvínnús has the ability to see the future within the northern lights. Kvínnú Áila (15), a strong-willed girl, is at 16 destined to become the tribe's next Trollkvínnú, after her mother. The king of the lands below the mountain however, wants her as the land's princess. Stolen at birth, Tiril Stone (17) was brought to Cod Tongue by her uncle. All her life she has breathed fog and had difficulties finding balance on land. Life on the small fishing island is brutal. Tiril is forced to take up the oars in order to pay for her family's debt. Out at sea, she realises she can attract fish by touching the water, but using her abilities also builds up a storm. She comes close to drowning but is saved by a draug, sailing in his half-boat.Complete
