Viktor Harris lived a normal life in 1985, he was in his first year of ninth grade at George Washington High, his best friend and neighbor, Rory Coleman,  usually walk the short walk home together and go to the Texaco gas station to buy a drink or snacks and chat with their favorite worker, Frances Russell. Frances was an unknown predator waiting for the right person to strike. He found this person when a boy walked into the store with his mother over a year earlier. On the return of the boy Frances started planning the abduction, just waiting for the prefect moment.
Viktor never lost his trust in Frances during the kidnapping, it only grew stronger until Viktor didn't want to leave, he was so convinced by the lies Frances told him and so deep into his stockholm syndrome.
