Michael is an 18 year old boy from North Carolina, but his car, the General, is anything but a normal car. The General is Dustraker, a former Decepticon lieutenant during the Cybertronian Civil War. however Dustraker was labeled a deserter when he was launched off in an escape pod and landed on Earth, where he was in the care of Michael's family. After a few years of recuperation, Dustraker picks up a weird energy signature. The signature of Megatron, the one responsible for his injuries, so Dustraker and Michael are heading out to find and take on Megatron.

Amanda Beckett liked being left alone. If she was alone, then there would be no one to leave her. Jack Darby just wanted out. Out of the small town of Jasper, out of school, out of all that he had. Miko Nakadai wanted an escape. An escape from the real world and ticket into something more. Rafael Esquivel didn't belong. Didn't belong anywhere but where he could be surrounded by his data. When these four teens are thrown into the world of Autobots and Decepticons, they are inadvertently a part of something more. Once each of them are spotted with an Autobot, the evil Decepticons immediately put a target on their backs, making sure they can never live the way they did again. But can they group together to rise against the Decepticon threat? Alias is an unusual girl. She doesn't remember who she was when she was younger, her first memory was as a 6 year old, stumbling through the woods into an old abandoned barn, wounded and weak. This is where she meets the equally confused Cybertronian, who she named Nickname. As they grow up and learn about the world around them, they realize that the world is a horrible place. And while Nickname has the Decepticons chasing him, Alias has a group of human sized metal warriors that seem endless and relentless chasing her. (Later revealed by Ratchet as power hunters from early Cybertron.) Oh, and did she mention her metal wings? No, oh well... Once they meet the Autobots though, they seem to have found their peace, until they decide to help the Autobots of course. I mean, after Alias tries to kill them. Megatron isn't a very nice fellow per usual, and he had already stumbled upon the bounty hunters chasing Alias and claimed himself their lord and master.
