Shine, Fade

Jaime and Hannah, two similar yet opposing stars who collide in a world too big and yet too small for the both of them. Omlettes, friendship, and magical realism take the stage in this short story in a big world.

The story was my final project for a literature class, and I thought I might as well share it with the world.

This story is dedicated to the other half of me, without whom I wouldn't be who I am today and won't be the same without ever again, as well as to every forgotten 'fade' never destined for the limelight and the wasted talent lost with them. And finally, Shine, Fade is for all the authors crushing and destroying dreams with the stroke of a pen or keyboard- may they forever continue inspiring and destroying their miniature worlds, the worlds we think no more of with the close of a flap.
