The year is 1851. Times were different then. Simpler. And though life was indeed simpler, the people most certainly were not. Injustice, deception, abuse. All of these things were just as present in the nineteenth century as they are today. The only difference: people then rarely got caught.

Twins of Tenby Hall by TheScribesApprentice

"The Riley twins were born in the spring of 1797 during a ferocious storm that battered the Salisbury Plain for three days together. Isabel entered the world with a flash of lightning, her shrieking drowned out by a grand clap of thunder. Thirteen minutes later the storm abated, clouds parted, and Miranda was handed to her father, blinking in rays of sun that poured through the window." Isabel loves the comfort of home and the company of her family and few close friends. She doesn't care for the drama of the season or dream of gothic adventures as her sister does. She is wild and carefree in her own right, mischievous if need be, and the fun she has with her sister and closest friend is enough to satisfy her fancies. If only life took pleasure in forcing adventure on those who wished for it, instead of those who did not. Miranda is a playful romantic, she looks forward to her first season with a desperation which rivals that of a starving man on his way to a feast. She can't wait to dress in beautiful gowns and dance the nights away with the height of the Ton. More than anything, she dreams of finding her prince charming and falling in love; but love is a game, and some play it far too well. What readers are saying: "What a wonderful read!! The Forgotten Ones (A Completed Steamy, Historical Romance)

53 parts Complete Mature

We know a lot about the American Civil War. We know about the battle at Gettysburg and how Sherman burned Atlanta but do you know many individual stories? Follow Oliver and Naomi from their arranged marriage through the war. It will be quite a journey as Naomi faces the war home alone and Oliver fights battle after battle. She will face one of the cruelest band of the southern militia army as she tries to protect the people she loves most. This is a story about the ones left home during the war. The one's who earned no great merit or place in history. The forgotten heroes of a bloody war that stood for freedom and equality for all Americans. I based some of facts in the story on writings left behind by my family that lived here in Indiana in the 1860s. My ancestors were Quaker and they were abolitionists in Indiana. We still have their homes used in the underground railroad in our family. My other side was endangered servants from Ireland and my great-great-grandfather was, unfortunately, one of the soldiers that came to Indiana while serving under John Hunt Morgan. He was the rest of my family's enemy. https://www.wattpad.com/646167251-the-forgotten-ones-a-completed-steamy-historical Please keep in mind this story is based in America during the 1860s and it was a different time.
