Aoife Barnes is the twin sister of James B. Barnes, she is also best friends with Steve Rogers, the twins grew up protecting Steve from bullies as children despite him constantly saying he had them on the ropes,

Over the years no one knew that Steve had developed the biggest crush on Aoife, she was sweet on him and cared for him and was probably the only girl not to treat him the way he looked, and he loved that,

Bucky being the unlabeled third wheel with Steve and Aoife he constantly teased them both for liking each other, and calling them chicken for not admitting it to one another, all throughout Bucky's training Aoife wrote to him and he always told her to confess to Steve,

And the day she got up the courage to do it he was accepted into the army and was shipped off before she could say anything, for months she didn't see him, and when she finally did it was when she got word that Steve had come back from enemy lines from saving 400 hundred men, her twin included.

She thought that it would get better from then on, but she was wrong, for weeks she had horrible nightmares about Bucky falling to his death and Steve crashing into the ocean, having had experience with dreams like this she wrote multiple letters to warn them,

But by the time they had gotten to the base Steve and Bucky served with they were already gone. Aoife broken beyond emotionally and mental repair vanished. Or did she?
