Elizabeth remembers coming up in the box, remembers the fear of not knowing where, or even who she was. She remembers the joy of finally settling in, remembers the people she came to call family.
But him.
He's her favorite memory and at the same time, the one she dreads remembering.
She remembers the good, the way he was always there, the way he pretended not to care when she knew he did, holding his hand, watching the stars... but she also remembers the bad.
She remembers losing him and it's tearing her apart.
Some of this is based off the movie, some on the books. I've mixed it up because there are parts from both that I like. If you find anything that I should change or if you think something needs fixed, let me know so that I can work on it! Thanks, and enjoy!

Hullo everyone! I've recently gotten so into The Maze Runner, the movie and the book series. I've been reading a lot of other peoples imagines and preferences, and I've gotten so in to them that I decided to make some of my own! One Of Us - A Gally, Maze Runner Fan Fiction
Minho would fight for her. Newt would die for her. Thomas would kill for her. Gally would burn the whole world to the ground for her. Follow the journey of Eleanor, the only female glader, as she struggles to adjust to her new life in the Glade that takes her on a journey of love, loss, and friendship. (Gally x OC) Some notes to add: The central romance plot is between Eleanor and Gally but there is a subplot of Newtmas obviously. The story is inspired by the movies only, because the lore of the books goes quite deep and I don't think I will be able to write up to a standard that honors James Dashner's amazing legacy. Also, Eleanor is named after Eleanor Roosevelt which sticks to the idea that all main characters are named after famous scientists, inventors, and activists. Finally, this will be a three-part book for each movie and just to clarify, no smut! PROLOGUE 1 year ago "I can't let you go, not now" I say holding Newt's hand outside the room where they sent the subjects up into the maze. "Your not letting me go (Y/N), your just saying see you soon" Newt says and pulls me into a hug and I start to cry. "I won't remember you. We won't be..." "Hey, we will find each other, I promise. I love you" Newt says and kisses the top of my head. "I love you too" "Newt, it's time to go" Ava says as she stands beside us Newt then kisses me one more time and let's go of my hand and follows Ava. I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up to see my 14 year old brother Thomas and I hug him. "We can watch him everyday (Nickname), he's still with us" Thomas says "But it's not the same. I love him too much to let him go" "I know it's hard, it's hard for me too" We then watch Newt go through the process of being sent up into the maze. Present time: I sit on my bed waiting to be called. It had been one year since I said goodbye to my boyfriend Newt as he was sent up into the maze and now I could see him again, but I wouldn't remember him, nor would he remember me. "You ready?" My big brother asks sitting beside me "I suppose, I'm scared though" I say and he puts an arm around me.
