Elizabeth remembers coming up in the box, remembers the fear of not knowing where, or even who she was. She remembers the joy of finally settling in, remembers the people she came to call family.
But him.
He's her favorite memory and at the same time, the one she dreads remembering.
She remembers the good, the way he was always there, the way he pretended not to care when she knew he did, holding his hand, watching the stars... but she also remembers the bad.
She remembers losing him and it's tearing her apart.
Some of this is based off the movie, some on the books. I've mixed it up because there are parts from both that I like. If you find anything that I should change or if you think something needs fixed, let me know so that I can work on it! Thanks, and enjoy!

The usual starter pack of some character being the first girl in the glade and blah, blah, blah. Yeah..not what I'm gonna do. Let's start like this, trapped, hopeless, with no way out. That is the life in the glade. No one knows why they are there or how to get out. They try to keep each other in a state of sweet ignorance. Just to keep their sanity. But the ones that were there the longest they know. They know the hard truth that would cause other gladers to lose their minds. These few chosen ones became fearless. The story is inspired by the movies only, because the lore of the books goes quite deep and I don't think I will be able to write up to a standard that honors James Dashner's amazing legacy. Also, Eleanor is named after Eleanor Roosevelt which sticks to the idea that all main characters are named after famous scientists, inventors, and activists. Finally, this will be a three-part book for each movie and just to clarify, no smut! I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up to see my 14 year old brother Thomas and I hug him. "We can watch him everyday (Nickname), he's still with us" Thomas says "But it's not the same. I love him too much to let him go" "I know it's hard, it's hard for me too" We then watch Newt go through the process of being sent up into the maze. Present time: I sit on my bed waiting to be called. It had been one year since I said goodbye to my boyfriend Newt as he was sent up into the maze and now I could see him again, but I wouldn't remember him, nor would he remember me. "You ready?" My big brother asks sitting beside me "I suppose, I'm scared though" I say and he puts an arm around me.
