The games begin and I grab a bag and run. I run, and run, and run, until I run into a rough chest. Nervously I back up and see its Liam. "Would you like us to stick together?" He asks, as he bites into an Apple. 'Where did he get that Apple?' Is all I can think. "Uh, uh, sure..." I mumble, still fascinated by the Apple.

I shook my head, trying to get the words out, but instead felt tears come to my eyes. He cornered me, leaning down, and caressed my cheek. I bit back a sob, rooted to the spot. This could be it. I quickly start to look around the place before the torture starts. Every piece of information I can get stands out to me as my mind connects the pieces. Brianna also seems jumpy as she watches Raphael get up to look at the farthest door where the other passengers came from. Raphael takes a surprised step back as he looks through the small window again. He slowly turns around and his face is pale as he says, "The other part of the subway is gone." "What?!" A tall man says with wide eyes. "No! That's impossible! We just came from there!" The rest of them nervously look around as Ben gets up to look through the window of the conductor's room. Michelle gets up to see what Raphael keeps seeing and Brianna lets out a nervous pant. "There's no conductor." I stand at this and my blood falls to my feet. Frantic looks go around the place and nervous voices fill our ears along with the scrapping sound of the subway. I turn around to look at the other passengers and my eyes catch the red lights from the moving letters on one part of the roof. I gulp and sweat starts down my neck as I read its bright letters. I feel something slam into me, knocking the breath from my lungs. Only it is not the car that hits me; it is a person. He takes the brunt of the fall, rolling under me so that my face does not brush the street, but the force of the impact knocks me out of his arms and I skid across the asphalt into the grass. The car speeds past, flying down the road before disappearing on a turn. I wait in agony until my lungs finally work, and then I roll onto my back and gasp for air. "Are you okay?" Liam's voice is frantic as he crawls toward me. He cups my face in his hands and checks my body for injuries. This time I know I am not imagining things. There are dark wings coming out of his back. I sputter a few fragmented sentences before I can get the words out. "What are you?"Complete
