Arietta Kasaganawa is an ordinary girl that lives in the city of 1000. 1000 is a sub city that props itself in the planet of Billions, where it coincidently has a billion cities. In Billions, it is the law to worship one God, or in this case a Goddess titled Feriet. Feriet is the Goddess of dreams, morality, and the constellations. In honor of The Goddess, each city has it's own brand, in which each government has to imprint each citizen. Each brand determines your social class. Arietta refuses to be branded, and absolutely despises the world surrounding her, but that leaves her with unfortunate consequences.
