燃焼[Burning]

A falcon without its wings is worthless.

But when a new opportunity at life shines through for Hayabusa, a Tsukumogami, he is hesitant to take the chance. Fire stole everything from him before, and he doesn't want to take the risk. War brings devastation to those around it, and Hayabusa is caught in the torrent once more as past memories break free of their tether, and he has to choose.

Yuri has faded memories of a past life, where flames devoured her very being. As a Saniwa, she has sworn to dedicate herself to her duty. But when old friends appear before her, the stability of her world is compromised. She's willing to do anything to find out what happened to her before, but in a war, nothing is a promised reward, alongside a certain comrade.

Ichigo Hitofuri is a Tsukumogami as well. Devoured in the flames of Osaka Castle, that very inferno continues to plague him even in the future. After being brought forth to serve as a warrior in the fight against the Historical Revisionists, he discovers that his own self-control is not as strong as he imagined, his devotion wavering before his kin.

War is hard and cold and tears people apart, but we stand together as allies, not as foes.
