17 year old Lilia Forman's life was perfect. As successful archaeologists, Lilia's parents took her to all their digs, allowing Lilia to see the great wonders of the world, and travel anywhere she wants. She thought she had everything figured out, pass high school, go to college, then become an archaeologist just like her parents. She was on the right track, until her mother died in a freak accident in Uganda while looking for an ancient marsupial fossil. Lilia was thrown into a spiral of anger and depression, but she really just wanted her mom back. She used to tell Lilia stories of aliens and warriors in an action packed bedtime ritual. Lilia's father, Allen Forman is invited to lead a dig in the Balkans, in southern Greece with him, accidentally stumbles upon and awakens a comatose alien whom has been on earth for over 500 years. Lilia automatically feels drawn to the strange creature. She can't explain it. She later learns that he is a member of an ancient group called the Xawryx ( zar-ex). His name is Alyx. He is a Cepryss blood, meaning he is a royal heir to the kingdom of Xawryx, but another clan, the Cruyz- (mortal enemies of the Xawryx) used a high priestess of the house to put the people of Xawryx into an endless and uninterrupted slumber for 300 years, because the Xawryx were going to stop the ban of dark magic, which is the Cruyz's specialty. Lilia is thrown in the middle of an ancient war, and discovers a chilling secret about her own bloodline.
