I remember going with my dad to the electronic store called circuit city, it was near a good guys another competing electronic store, this was before the best buy monopoly n even earlier then the amazon monopoly.

You'd see a commercial on tv or an ad in the paper for a deal and you would go and purchase a product to enrich your life, to entertain yourself or convenience yourself before you died.

That day we went to the circuit city to buy a vcr, it would not be the last trip to circuit city, there was one time my dad attempted to get money out of an atm but instead got 20 dollars worth of stamps. This was at that circuit city but sometime in the future. I wonder how frustrated my dad was attempting to with draw money from this machine to pay for coolant because our car overheated in the circuit city parking lot. Only to have a book of stamps, but that's a story for another day.

My dad wanted a vcr which ultimately tapped the return of Hong Kong back to China from the British colonizers
