The world changed completely.
The laws are different.
The morals are gone.
Technology being the worlds greatest manufacture; phones, tv's, 3D printers, lead to the fall out of chaos. People stopped working, cities rapidly going bankrupt, and anarchy soon broke out worldwide.
Now there was only one government. And no leader.
To prevent the disarray that had happened in the near past people are given tasks each week to complete, created by the government. If not completed, well... Then you suffer deeply, punished my being sent to the Old Land. Technology has been prohibited everywhere, only true necessities kept at hand in the government.
Alex doesn't like these rules.

Is This The End?
I had been living in this dystopian universe my whole life. We lived simple, meaningless lives. I wasn't sad, merely dissatisfied. No one here was ever sad.
