Magic? Nope. Hidden towns? Definitely not. Sexy mentors? Well.... oh, go on then. One minute, I'm stacking shelves, and the next, I'm whisked away to some mad place in the middle of the woods, being told I have powers. Sounds like a bad acid trip, right, but it turns out there's a lot of things that have been hiding in plain sight. Faye was just minding her own business until she bumped into a group of strangers on a night out. They open her eyes up to a whole new world full of magic and take her to the place she is to call home from then on, the compound. There are compounds all over the world hidden from the regular human eye. When she arrives, her life is full of drama, trying to learn about her gifts, make new friends, and simply just stay alive. Her mentor is supposed to be there to help her through things, but will he make her life easier or more complicated? My guess is the latter, but he is so gorgeous that a little complication is a small sacrifice to make. Dane just wants to get left alone. Ever since losing his brother, he's not been quite the same.
