Clair's body jerked in response to him now taking her in his arms. She hated him. Her recent encounter had been enough to turn her stomach, and she didn't know why she had done what she did. That kiss was a mistake, and she was going to make sure he knew it.
"Why are you here?" She asked through her clenched teeth.
"I am here for the same reason you are Clair. We are all working, aren't we?" Work, of course he was here for work.
"Then go do as you're told pet! You have nothing else to work me over for! You got what you wanted, remember?! Unless your boss wants to take my deal, I have nothing left to say to you!" Clair kept her voice low as they danced, but she spewed her words like venom at his ear.
He took the back of her head in his hand with great force, still keeping his other at her waist, and keeping her feet following his lead. He moved to her ear, it was her turn to listen. "You took my partner Clair, so I'm not done getting what I need from you! I'm going to need Nikolai back, and you're going to give me what I want, just like you always did!" Clair jerked back her head to see his eyes dark with rage. His words made her next decision easy, and her open hand marked his jaw, releasing her from his grips, before she turned to leave him alone on the floor.
