"I'm so glad we decided to do this!" Katrina yells over the the wind ripping through the car.

I prop my vans up on the dashboard, my hands resting on my thighs. When I look over at her, she's grinning at me while she awaits my response.

"Me too!" I shout, one of my arms moving out the window to feel the breeze between my fingers.

I lean my head against the head rest and look at Katrina, her fingers tapping against the steering wheel and her blonde hair whipping around. The smile on my face drops when I look passed her and see a car coming straight towards us.

And that's the last thing I saw before everything went black.

The wail of sirens echoed throughout the hospital as the emergency room doors burst open. Two individuals were being carted in while another gurney was carrying someone draped in a white cloth. It was too late for them. I could just barely hear what the paramedics were yelling to the doctors as they rushed to the operating room. "Car crash. Must have lost control. Both middle aged men. One is Native-American with long black hair and light brown eyes. He has multiple lacerations to the abdomen, his skull was fractured, left knee cap shattered, and internal bleeding." the young man explained. "The other is Caucasian with blonde hair and green eyes. His neck is broken, there are four fractures along his spine, we think his spleen might have burst, and there is a large piece of the car door sticking out of his chest. Possibly the handle. Both are in critical condition. There was a third passenger, but she was gone before we got to them." A louder sob ripped through my chest, my entire body shuddering from the force of it. Tears began streaming down my face faster than I could wipe them off. I wrapped my fingers around my ears the same way I did that night, silently begging the memories to go away. Before I knew it, I was rocking back and forth. "It's all my fault I should've died Should still be here All my fault Should be dead Take me Suffering Can't take it Find your happy place Find your happy place Find your happy place." My body was wracking with sobs. I wanted to stop it but I couldn't. I wasn't strong enough. "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry Should've been me Should've been me Forgive me Please forgive me I'm so sorry I'm so sorry."

"This is such a bad idea. I cannot believe I let you talk me through this!" "Then why are you coming along?" I question Harry, taking a sharp left turn onto the main road and accelerating towards our destination. My GPS shows it to be around a minute away, so I remain on the lookout. "Uh, coz you dragged me downstairs by my pants like a damn bully! And I can't say no to you for some reason." He logics while fidgeting in his seat and shaking his head as I spot the neon pink sign on my left side. "Would you have preferred I dragged you with your willy, Haz?" I speak casually, snickering at the damn thought of it. He gives me his very definitive "what the fuck" look with both his eyebrows erect and rubs his hands all over his face in frustration. I mouth a little sorry to him, holding his ear closest to me instead of my own. He swats my hands away and scoffs at me. "This is not funny, Hope Emily Wilson." He asserts, biting his lower lip in worry. "And, one of us needs to be able to talk the cops out of arresting us when this inevitably goes wrong and that certainly cannot be you." "Sshhhh. Nothing will go wrong. Positive thoughts." I reject his suspicions as I bring my car to a halt behind the building, pulling the handbrake to secure it. "This is so illegal. Criminal. Felonious. You're 16 and driving the car with not even a learner's license in hand. I am 16 and we are at this club we are not even supposed to be at in the first place." I smack my palm over his mouth to keep him from talking anymore. The Red Herring. This club is on my bucket list with Harry for quite some time now and it's time to just tick it out already before he leaves for X-Factor.

༺𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 "𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐃"𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒༻ ----------------------------------------------- "Verdant, leave me! What am I to you? A possession? An obsession? Leave me right now!" I yelled, trying to knock some sense into him. He slowly brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, making me feel things I didn't want to. His hand grazed my waist, the warmth of his touch brushing against my bare skin, as my top lifted slightly due to the position he held me in. He touched his forehead to mine, closing his eyes as I did, the intimacy of the moment wrapping around us. "You're my first and last love, darling. You're not just the water I need, you're the oxygen I struggle to breathe. You're my best, my worst, my life, my world. You're mine." At the last words, he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead. The soft touch calmed my muscles, but my mind was still a battlefield. Two months before my marriage, Jai used to write poetry, say sweet things, and do all these little romantic dramas. All men are manipulators. I know Vedant isn't, but I can't trust anyone right now. I wanted to push him away. "You really think you can manipulate me with sweet words? You're a manipulator, aren't you? At the end of the day, you're forcing me to choose you. And what's worst about men is that you only think about yourselves. You want me, but what about me? You never prioritise me!"

Prologue I - I no Aksh it's--its not what you, I lo--- there was and is only you ." she sniffled when she said that. "Sure sweetheart I believe if I was and is there forever,Now give me what I want" I grabbed her arm and took her towards my car. "Please Aksh it's--it's hurting" she cried. "Oh yeah" I retorted back with pure sarcasm "Did it hurt when he filled you up with his- " It gave me pure disgust just thinking about it and I can't even tend to make it a sentence. I opened the door and threw her in the back seat and hovered over her. She settled on her elbows and cupped my cheeks with one hand "please Aksh trust me I don't want to hurt you please give me some time I'll come to you and tell you everything please now is not the time please Aksh" I chuckled addressing her words. She didn't wanted to hurt me , All these coming from a traitor, a snake who left me for a guy's dick and years later I caught her doing the same . If she's a snake then she's my customised snake. Am not letting her go at any cost. "You know what" I wiped her tears and placed her hair locks behind her ears "This time I won't let you go I'll fill you up with my baby again , yes you're correct right here only. And take you to my place so you won't dare to take pills after our deeds, then we'll get married in the next 3 months, then no motherfucker can let only touch you but can't even bat an eye on you." She tried to get away with my hold but I slammed my lips on her pinning her down .................

In the passenger seat of a sleek black Audi, I sat fuming, arms crossed tightly against my chest. A tense silence hung in the air as he drove, his jaw clenched, his focus glued to the road ahead. The rain smacked against the windshield a rhythmic tapping doing little to ease the heavy atmosphere between us. "Why won't you just talk to me?" I burst out my voice breaking the quiet, taut with frustration. He glanced at me briefly his expression unreadable before returning his attention to the road. "I'm driving," he replied gruffly his tone clipped and indifferent. I glared at him, my anger bubbling hotter. "You can't keep bottling it all up, yuh hear me?" His grip on the steering wheel tightened with his knuckles but his voice remained calm almost too calm. "It's not a big deal." "Not a big deal?" I shot back, "Either you talk or let me outta this car." He mumbled something under his breath, the first crack in his façade of calmness. "Yuh being unreasonable," he said, his tone sharp now. My eyes widened in disbelief. "Unreasonable? Mi just ask fi yuh talk to mi as yuh girlfriend! Is it really too much fi ask fi a bit of communication?" The tension snapped like a rubber band. "Betta mi jump outta dis car," I said, my hand darting for the door handle. In an instant, he locked the doors, his jaw tightening as he slammed on the brakes. The sudden stop jerked me forward, the seatbelt the only thing keeping me from hitting the dashboard. "Nuh mek mi affi do something mi will regret Kim" he mumbled, shaking his head his laugh low and unamused. "Do it! if yuh think yuh bad!" I shot back meeting his gaze without flinching. He turned his head sharply toward me, his eyes narrowing. Before I could even register what was happening, he leaned forward.......
