When eleven year old Hinako Tamashii misses one step while walking up the stairs, falling backwards, she hits her head and lands herself in the hospital.

Now, after the accident, Hinako starts to remember her past life who lived in the Heian Period.

Chouka Sasaki, a prodigy at Go.

Wanting to know more about Chouka's life and why her soul aches to play the strategic game, she steps into the world of Go.

With each game Hinako plays, she gains a memory of Chouka and gets better at the game, thanks to her previous life's experience.

And while doing so she meets worthy Go players -amateurs, insei and pros of the like- the two notable ones being Akira Toya and Hikaru Shindo.
