Riley Jones is seventeen years only, only three months away from being eighteen- only three months away from being able to cry without fear of being taken. Three months till she's saved from the Program forever. The Epidemic has begun, teen suicide is a disease killing 1/3 teenagers. It is contagious, and spreads through contact. The only cure for the epidemic is the Program where all their memories will be erased. With no memories, no friends, no heartbreak, there is no reason for depression. There is also no remembering what you want to live for.
