Dit verhaal is op een bepaalde manier geschreven. Soms krijg je een deel te zien van het Einde, Het begin en toen. Als er boven aan het einde staat krijg je een sneak peak van het einde je moet het lezen want er komt geen herhaling van. Het begin is maar een hoofdstuk, er word dan vertelt hoe alles is begonnen. En toen is waar het verhaal lijn nu in speelt.

''wat doe je broertje?'' aarzelend zet Oliver een stap richting onze richting. ''Je maakt Chloe bang.'' Hij kijkt van mij naar Ethan en weer terug, en ik zie dat hij de situatie probeert te peilen. Zijn hersenen werken op volle toeren achter die doordringende blauwe ogen van hem. ''Doe eens een beetje rustig.''
''Ik doe rustig!''
''We kunner er toch over praten.'' Zegt Oliver susend.
''Nee!'' schreeuwt Ethan schor. Ik krijg de rillingen van dat geluid. Zo heb ik hem nog nooit gezien. Zo woest en onberekenbaar. Onbeheerst. ''Ik luister niet meer naar die leugens van jou. Het is allemaal geklets, woord voor woord denk maar niet dat je, je hieruit kan lullen.''
''Het spijt me.'' Fluister ik, in elkaar gedoken in de hoek. ''Het spijt me zo... Ik heb je nooit pijn willen doen.''
''Daar kom je mooi te laat mee!'' gilt Ethan
Beven deins ik achteruit, en wanhopig zoek ik naar een mogelijkheid om te ontsnappen. Maar Ethan staat tussen mij en de deur. Ik zit gevangen. Oliver staar er dichterbij, hij zou kunnen ontsnappen en hulp kunnen halen. Ik vang zijn blik, probeer te gebaren, maar in plaats van ervandoor te gaan, schuifelt hij naar ons toe.
''Sst, Ethan, het is al goed.'' Oliver steekt zijn handen omhoog om te laten zien dat hij zich gewonnen geeft. ''We hoeven niet te praten. We hoeven helemaal niets te doen. Leg alleen dat mes neer.'Todos los derechos reservados
