Every summer since she could remeber, Kaleigh Sparks has spent in Nova Scotia with her best friend Nick and his friends Ben, Lucas, and Jake. This was until her life was turned upside down, at the age of 14, when she was in the car with her father, and a freak accident occured. Only she surivied. Going through a terrible time, she distances herself from Nova Scotia, because of all the memories there with her father. After 2 years, now 16 Kaleigh finally returns to Nova Scotia, for the summer. Like a bolt of lightning, this stupid boy appeared in my life. First day of summer break between first and second grade, he just appeared- standing on my porch like he was born there.
