The Daegmon War is a three-- volume fantasy novel beginning with The Gifted, continuing with The Betrayed, and ending with Illengond. The centuries-old war against the Daegmon Lord has been dormant for generations and knowledge of the Gifts (powers of healing, knowledge, and strength) has faded into dim folklore.

When one of the Daegmons suddenly returns to wage war against the All-Maker and his people, only one small band, led by a young Westwash woman named Elynna and an Andani hunter-guide, rises up against the terrible foe. But they are few, and only a handful of them number among the Gifted. When their own king and his armies turn against the them, all seems lost for the company.

In a world where the primordial command the heavenly realm and govern over all forms of magic, dragons and orcs dominate the forests, colossal sea guardians and leviathans patrol the oceans, humanity struggles to coexist with demi-humans while harnessing the rare gift of magic. Six great continents are ruled by powerful emperors and empresses, their alliances and rivalries shaping the fate of the realm. On the continent of Azarithr, war is waged against its weaker neighbor, Eryndor. For weeks, the bloody conflict consumes lives and resources, leaving devastation in its wake. Among the noble families caught in this turmoil is House Ashwynd, tasked with supplying warriors to the royal army. At the helm of this responsibility is Duke Raymond Ashwynd, father to five children: four sons sent to command troops on the frontlines, and one daughter, Rayne. Nineteen-year-old Rayne is no ordinary noblewoman. Bright, resolute, and fiercely independent, she possesses a rare and potent affinity for magic-an ability that sets her apart in a world where such power is a rarity among humans. While her brothers initially shield her from the dangers of their world, their perspective shifts upon discovering her abilities. No longer a sister to be protected, Rayne becomes a respected force within the family, supported in her pursuit of knowledge and mastery of magic. As war rages on, Rayne must navigate a path where loyalty, power, and her own convictions will be tested. Will her gift be a beacon of hope or a harbinger of destruction? This is her story-the rise of Rayne, the whisperer of magic, and the third hero in a saga that will change the course of history.

In a world where balance is the key to survival, chaos threatens to tip the scales as a never-ending war between humans and demons stretches on for millennia-a war fueled by ancient animosity between humans and demons. Leor, the Demon Prince and ruler of the demon realms of Valek'thar and Zaron, struggles to break free from the shadow of his father, the Primordial Demon King Aamon, as he tries to protect humans from the demons' wrath and end the war. Guided by an unyielding sense of duty, Leor forms uneasy alliances with demon hunters-Shania and Seraphina, and a guardian god to protect humans from the wrath of demons, and the entire realms from the encroaching darkness of the Devourer-an orb capable of consuming entire worlds with its chaos magic. Meanwhile, Seraphina and Shania, demon hunters of unparalleled skill, navigate their own moral dilemmas as they face beings that blur the line between ally and enemy. Seraphina's quest for knowledge to help end the war leads her to Azarath, Zariel's enigmatic envoy, whose mastery of ancient magic is as intoxicating as it is dangerous. As the fragile peace between realms crumbles and gods are forced to interfere, the group uncovers an ancient, malevolent force pulling the strings behind the chaos-a god who defied the laws of existence itself. The heroes traverse breathtaking and treacherous realms. They face impossible odds, including obsidian-skinned creatures with glowing violet eyes, demons and ancient entities. Each step unravels secrets about the true nature of balance and the sacrifices required to preserve it. Amidst determination, love, and the unrelenting march of war, Leor, Seraphina, Azarath, and Shania must decide whether they are willing to fight to protect the very foundations of existence-or succumb to the chaos that seeks to consume them all in the strength of their unlikely alliance and the eternal struggle to maintain balance in a fractured world.
