Gods are seen as almighty beings that cannot be defeated, know all, and protect their followers from the evils of the world by giving them grace and blessing.

However, not all gods have the ability to be ever-victorious, nor do all have the ability to know all.

Gods, just like their human followers, are able to hurt and feel emotion that can drive them into the ground. Some can even be killed, such as in the Biblical God's case when he died in a Great War.

A boy who attends an academy in a town not far from Kyoto seems an unlikely hero, and in some cases, villain.

The aloof boy with a lax attitude on life reveals himself as someone where there's more than meets eye.

"Japan has many memories for me, memories that lie in the darkness of death and vengeance. However, in my thousand years of living, I have finally found something that gives me the hope of making happy memories to last eternity. So, I say to you, how shall you fare against a god of calamity on this moonlit night?" - Tsukiyo Fukushū
